small fields, woods, streams, buildings and gardens.
The land slopes steadily upwards around the farm
providing a glorious backdrop of colour as the seasons
change.
Most of the buildings are in whitewashed stone, and
evidence of the farm's history can be found in the many
interesting pieces of old equipment that now have more
decorative functions. The farm still houses sheep,
chickens, doves, pigs, a horse and of course the farm
dogs and cats, although it no longer makes its living
from its livestock.
The farm today: Today, Cwmoernant farm is owned by
the Reynolds family, who have spent ten years
transforming it from a neglected collection of buildings
into a welcoming, friendly and peaceful place to try a
new skill, enjoy a short camping break with friends, or
make use of the well equipped buildings for an event.
The farmhouse itself is named 'Rainbow's End' and you
will find colour and imaginative use and re-use of
materials at every turn as you explore the farm. What is
important here is feeling free to relax, create and enjoy
as you try new skills and meet new friends.
